To be honest, I feel most comfortable wearing a tank top and a pair of shorts. With what the heat and all I have no choice but to make the most out of it and colour coordinate my outfit to my destination; the ice cream parlor. (Ice-cream = sweet = -_-")

I have a habit of eating an ice cream to cool off, and since it is practically summer all year round here in Malaysia, you can probably bet that I enjoy my icy treat almost every day. It helps cope with the stress and discomfort caused by the heat, some even say it prevents heat stroke.
(source : IMCMQ)

Showing off my heels I bought at Forever 21 ages ago, doesn't it just scream summer?
Oh and before I forget, wishing to all my Muslim readers a "Selamat Hari Raya", I am sure most of you are probably in your kampung celebrating your butts off and having the time of your life - unless you're like me in which Raya is just another mundane day where you wake up to cartoons and cake. Story of my life.

Eat, Drink and Be Merry is the key to happiness.
Of course you have to have company to do so. I know I haven't been posting much materials on this blog, and as much as I like to keep things personal as little as possible, I can not help but feel happy for Baim, who was the birthday boy. Turns out wishes do come true in the form of his significant other. *tears up*
Anywho, heads up; will be on hiatus due to finals. I know right? boo to the hoo.

Somehow a spontaneous trip to KL managed to overcome my claustrophobia (at least for the day) and it didn't seem to bother me that much that we had to cram ourselves in the car just to get there. The minute I heard "KL" I knew I had to tag along even if it killed me.
So there we were, all five of us, fresh from a long day of class, and still as energetic as ever.

Echo being the rich bitch that he is, was on a mission for a Lomo cam called "Diane". I really do hope that there are some readers of mine out there who are just as outdated as I am about this thing, because words just couldn't describe how out of place I felt when the others were awing its presence. In my defense, it looked like an overpriced disposable camera, though I must admit after seeing the picture it produces, I get why people pay so much for it.
  Still,
not my thing.

One word : Hungry

We still had tons of energy left, and after gobbling up our dinner, I manage to persuade the gang for a quick trip to Sephora.
Can you see the excitement?

Have I mentioned how much I love spontaneous trips to KL?

If internet dusts existed, my blog will be covered in a blanket of it.
I'm so sorry, for the sporadically long hiatuses.
My life is now revolving around endless marathons of tests and quizzes that I can honestly say with confidence, am ready to flunk for.
The stress of it all is killing me. Like downing uranium, I am in for a slow but painful death. These days I don't even bother putting make up on and despite looking like a zombie in day light it is safe to say that when it comes down to vanity and my overdued assignments, my priorities will definitely be on my education. Currently speaking, I have an upcoming test on the following Monday and Friday, and despite (as usual) not studying shit until the last minute, I can still afford to procrastinate my revision. Heck, come to think of it there is 24 hours in a day. Plenty of time right? (This would probably explain why I can never get the best of both worlds; looking fresh as I sit confidently for my tests)
Anywho.... for those who are in the same boat as I am, and you wake up one day to find that your face has lost its "glow" and in its place are monster zits strategically located in case you ever thought of auditioning for the role of "Pizza Face" in a Fast Food Musical, here are some tips of mine that I found very helpful during my stress period.

1) If you are anything like me, and I really hope that you are not, stop by all means putting so much make up on your face. I admit I always put on gunks of concealers on my face to give the illusion of a smooth luminous complexion. Trust me, during your time of stress, it will make things worse, because these stuff block your pores. I don't care if it says its non-comedogenic on the box. If I put a bag over your head and poked one or two holes in it, by the end of the day, you would still feel suffocated. Invest on a really good sunscreen, and lip balm. The weather is getting harsher, you will need the SPF.

2) Don't over wash your face. I went through a period where I had four or five ginormous zits on my face and my biggest mistake was over washing it. You only wash your face twice a day, and that's it. Mental note, keep your hands away from your face and try suppressing any urges to press the shit out of your nose for blackheads. Otherwise you will end up like me, who spent a fortune to remove the scars.

3) Sleep is tres importante'. Now when it comes down to assignments and sleep, I learn a hard lesson to prioritize on the latter. Sleep is important. Despite having a scarring nose, I found it recovering quickly after a few days of good rest. Bear in mind, you are not a robot. If your assignments aren't done, breath in and relax. If you didn't want all this stress, you should have done it earlier.

Anyways, I know that this post isn't much and most of you would probably stop visiting anyways, but to those who are dealing with what I am dealing right now, hang in there. The certificates are worth it.

I read somewhere that one of the most essential piece of clothing in a woman's wardrobe is

a well fitted coat.

It could be the models gracing the pages or the colourful fonts they used, either way I knew I had to own one and have been obsessing eversince......
So..... imagine my joy when I found one that complimented my petite frame perfectly. A useful reminder before some of you embark on the coat searching journey

1. And I can't believe I am saying this but, Patience is virtue. It may take a while to find "the coat" but trust me it is worth  the wait.
2. Prepare your money. This advice is useful for those who are in the same state of broke as I am. Be prepared to make the investment, because a good coat can help you go through any fashion disaster. And If you lucky bitches do have the money, why stop at one? buy one of every colour you lucky whores.
3. Neutrals are the safest. You don't have to be bold because in this case you would want to make full use of said coat, therefore by buying one in a neutral colour, your options will be endless. Pastels are good but please please please stay away from black/white. White for obvious reasons - they get easily dirty while Black is just too dull....unless you are forty somthing, than that would be a smart choice..

Good Luck!

Good News : The long awaited outfit post is here

Bad News : I only have one photo

I kinda made a pact with myself yesterday recently -

Not to buy anymore clothes until I have worn everything in my closet.

Unfortunately, I was coerced to break it with a few recent purchases, which come to think about it, weren't just purchases, they were an investment; a basic necessity in every girls' wardrobe. After all, everyone needs a decent coat or two.
Anyways, I bought this dress a while back, and it had a certain Blair Waldorf-esque to it. Definitely too short to prance around classes in, but who cares?
I don't get out much, so my only fashion stage would be during classes.
Plus, it helps with my avidity towards education and the whole learning process. It really does.

The Loves
Random pics of our 2nd week of class.
Nothing outstanding really. The weather was scorching so we decided to go for cendol.
I  know, I know, if it revolves solely around my friends and I going about our daily routine as do people around the world, why bother post it, right?

"BECAUSE IT IS MY FUCKIN' BLOG."

Pui Yee and I camwhoring while celebrating my birthday.
Yes people, I am officially 20!

Initially I was all psyched to complain about my horrible first week in Uni, but after a few days of breather and away from all things negative, I find myself despite being broke....happy.
Like when I started off the week withdrawing some money to pay the house rent, to find that there was a glitch in the system and instead of paying my rent, I am *** ringgit poorer for no apparent reason. Freaked out, I called the bank and even though they assured me that they will eventually reverse the money, it might take 2 to 3 months to do so.
I thought by then, my week couldn't get any worse. Unfortunately this is my life we are talking about, so crap like these aren't put to a halt so soon. No sireeee.
They multiply into bigger pile of crap and little did I know, this week somehow turned out to be a series of test on my patience and virtue. In a way it could also possibly pass as a very good pitch for a comedy skit.

Before I continue, I would really like to thank my friends for playing a huge role to my many failed suicidal attempts, because without them I would probably be burning in hell as we speak.

Like when I got back from my class to find a huge red gash on Navid
(I love that I name my car after a jew, I feel so ethical bahahahaha).

Words just couldn't delineate how I felt at that moment, and as a matter of fact, when I called my friends, none of them could quite make out what I was wailing about except for the general profanities that one could probably be slurring their heads off and still be comprehended.
All I could remember at that moment was a continuous ringing in my ears and the only way I knew how to stop it was to set the cars around me on fire and jump in the fiery flames, and I end up kicking the bucket with a bang, and possibly 5 or 6 people cursing me in the grave for setting their cars on fire.
Fortunately for me, I mustered whatever sanity I had left and drove away from the situation while I waited for my lovely, lovely, lovely bros who waited for the appropriate time (the next day) to tease me about my bawls.

I repaired Navid the following day, but as I mentioned several times before, am definitely a believer in Karma because long story short, I now know what it's like to be on the other other side of a hit and run.
After the accident, my will to live was short mostly because of the somber sight that is my bank balance.
Plus it didn't help that I was fined by Uniten for thinking that I own the parking spaces there. -___-"

Point is, no matter how unlucky you think your week was or how many times you fantasize about diving off your building floor each time you look at your bank balance, always bear in mind to quickly slap yourself hard on the face and resort to the only rational and effective thing you last think off.
Turning to your family.
And for me, my friends are like my family, and thanks to them, I made it through the week without a scratch on my body and a hole in my pocket.

That and starbucks. There is something very therapeutic about drinking that miracle elixir in disguise. If ever I was having a crappy day with only 20 ringgit to last me for a week, this would be my pick me up.

The same day that I was dealing with Navid's misfortune, Adeeb called me up for an outing with Noryang who just got back from the States.
True story : As soon as I saw them all financial woes were forgotten
(bahahahah I wish, but it did do me justice to get out of the house).

My eyes looks swollen, I know
Highschool reunion, pretty awkward since i only knew 5 of them.
So yes, suicidal attempts 0. Friends 1. Looks like a pretty stiff competition if you asked me.

For the sake of updates, I recently attended a wedding. And thank god it was tastefully done. By "tastefully" what I really meant was ;

a) It was done indoors.
I absolu-fuckinly hate basking under the sun, let alone being covered under a blanket of heat. That, and to be honest not the biggest fan of marriages and what it represents. So to be stuck in the middle of a matrimony sweating like a pig is just one of the many awful scenarios I could think off. This is number #623.

b) It was well ventilated and most importantly, air conditioned
Case in point. I hate sweating mainly because of the stickyness that comes after. Therefore even if it was done indoors and they were still too cheap to pay for proper air conditioning, it would still be considered as a bad wedding in my book. Just saying.

c) The wedding theme was nice and not OTT done.
Themes include the decor, food and most importantly revolves around the wedding gown.
By "just nice" I am pointing out to all delusional people out there who think they can pull off the cheap looking colours on even cheaper fabric. For example if you really wanted to wear gold, don't settle for canary yellow, it is your wedding after all, (unless you are planning for another one, by all means make all the mistakes you want). And for those of you who are eager to retaliate by stating the price of your repugnant pathetic excuse of a wedding gown, behold you are living proof that "money can't buy style"

So yes, the wedding was very nicely done, and I am not just being bias because the bride is related to my best friend.
I would go on and write about how my dream wedding would be, but I haven't really thought it through yet. All I know is it would be a very small and private ceremony.
No kompangs. No sparkly oversized flowers. No boiled eggs. No flicking me with water.
No whatever you do in a traditional Malay/Chinese/Indian wedding.

Just me in a simple white gown,

my significant other,
a handful of the most important people in our lives,
a custom made cake that complements the flowers around the ceremony,

and a harp playing in the background.
(even though I am not a fan of marriages, I still am a fan of weddings - at least mine to be exact)
